When developed in 1905-1908, Atlanta’s first suburban neighborhood was designed for automobiles. Ansley Park features wide, winding roads designed like parkways with lush, beautiful landscaping. Neighbors enjoy walking to the neighborhood’s two parks, Wynn and McClatchey. Just a few blocks away is Piedmont Park, a 200+ acre greenspace that is also home of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Piedmont Driving Club. Nearby, the shops and restaurants of Ansley Mall provide convenience within the neighborhood, while the High Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and Colony Square on Peachtree Street offer culture and a variety of dining options. Two of Atlanta’s most beloved and well-known architects, Neel Reid and Philip Schutze, are known for the houses and apartments they designed in Ansley Park. Golf lovers will enjoy the Ansley Golf Club which also borders the eastside trail of the Atlanta BeltLine.
