Rogers Barry, Associate Broker

Rogers has been a resident of Atlanta and a Licensed Georgia Real Estate Associate Broker for more than 30 years.

Prior to moving to Atlanta he lived in Tallahassee, Florida, for 20 years where he attended graduate school. He worked in commercial construction and then became a licensed real estate broker in 1981 and started his own real estate consultancy. His Florida practice encompassed residential, commercial, and industrial real estate, real estate counseling, and growth management consulting. He co-founded the Tallahassee Commercial Board of Realtors and was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court as a non-attorney member of the statewide Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee of the Florida Bar. He has maintained an active Florida Real Estate Broker License for more than 40 years.

In 1992 Rogers moved to Atlanta when he married Carrie Przybilla so that she could continue to pursue her career as a curator at the High Museum of Art.

Since then, Rogers has had a long and successful career in real estate and has been recognized as a leader in civic affairs. He represented Ansley Park and served as Vice-Chair of Atlanta’s NPU-E, where his experience in Growth Management was a great asset.

Rogers served as a member of the Board of Directors for Ansley Park Civic Association (APCA) for many years. Rogers was one of a team of three members of the APCA Board who successfully negotiated an agreement with Atlantic Station to minimize the development’s impact on their neighborhood.

In 2003 Rogers and Carrie bought their current home in Piedmont Heights. Rogers was soon a member of the Piedmont Heights Civic Association (PHCA) Board of Directors and served two terms as its President. Rogers and Bill Seay, then Chair of the PHCA Planning Committee, led the process that created the Greater Piedmont Heights Master Plan, which won an award from Atlanta’s Urban Design Commission.

With a fellow congregant Rogers co-managed the restoration of the historic Venable Mansion on the campus of St. John’s Lutheran Church, located at Ponce de Leon and Oakdale in historic Druid Hills.

Rogers is a proud graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Lehigh University, and holds a Master of Science in the Philosophy of Education from Florida State University.

With his experience and education, Rogers is grateful to have acquired a small bit of wisdom. He would be happy to guide and/or represent you in pursuing your real estate goals. If it’s real estate, Rogers does it!
