Briarlake Elementary in DeKalb has its annual Used Book Sale the first Friday afternoon and Saturday in February (Feb 3 & 4ththis year). In order to sell a great selection of adult & child fiction, non-fiction, CDs, DVDs, games, etc., we request community donations. We have a particular need for books for kids in the 3-5th grade range, but will take pretty much anything that isn't falling apart or texts that are so out of date that they are unsellable. Also, this year we will not take VCR tapes.
They can be dropped off at the school (address in link above). If you have a large donation and live reasonably nearby, we can arrange for a pickup (email booksale@briarlakepta.org). Please don't drop off during carpool (7 - 8 am or 2-3:15 M-F). If you have to drop off after hours, please make sure they are pushed to the side of the front door and not blocking doors or walkways. Donations accepted now through Feb 3rd AM. Proceeds from the Sale go to Briarlake's PTA for materials, equipment, and academic enrichment. Will post again later the week before the sale. Mark those calendar dates though - books are 50 cents to $2!
